See highlights of the Muleshoe Mules and Lady Mules vs. Dimmitt basketball games from January 24, 2014, at the MHS Gym in Muleshoe, Texas.  The Lady Mules lost to Dimmitt 41 to 51 and are 8-14 overall and 2-8 in district action.  The Muleshoe Mules won 66 to 53 and are 13-9 and 5-3 in district play.   Standings in Boy’s District 2-2A are Abernathy 8-0, Littlefield 6-2, Muleshoe 5-3, Friona 3-4, Dimmitt 3-5, Tulia 1-6 & Olton 1-7.  Video includes presentation of monetary donations by the Muleshoe Athletic Booster Club to MHS sport teams at the first of the video. Ruben Gonzales, booster club president, presents Coach Sudduth/Golf $500, Coach Boatmun/Baseball $1,000, Coach White/Softball $1,000, Coach Byrd/Track $1,000, Coach White/Basketball $500, Coach Byrd/Powerlifting $250, Coach Wood/Tennis $500, Coach Wood/Football $10,000 and $500 was given in Ronnie Jones name to Superintendent Gene Sheets for the Muleshoe Opportunity Scholarship Trust.   A moment of silence was recognized before the basketball games for the late Ronnie Jones, who was a MISD coach, teacher and administrator for 40 years and one of our play-by-play announcers for over 30 years on Channel 6 of our Muleshoe Mules and Lady Mules sports programs.  See some of the DeShazo  Elementary 4th Grade dribbling program at halftime of the Lady Mules game as well.
