See the dedication ceremony held on November 14, 2024, for the “Pastores of Bailey County” Texas Historical Marker located along Highway 214, just south of Muleshoe and the Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge. Tom Watson, President of the Bailey County Historical Commission, presented the main speaker, Dolores McCall Mosser. Mosser, alongside Sammi Simpson, played a pivotal role in the research and establishment of this marker. The event also included a visit to the corrals constructed by the Pastores nearly 150 years ago in Southern Bailey County, near Bula, featuring insights from Mosser and Texas Plains Trail Board Members Tye Kreidler and Holle Humphries.
