See video of winter storm Goliath hitting the South Plains and Muleshoe, Texas, on December 26, 27, 28, 2015. The blizzard dumped 7.5″ of snow in Muleshoe and brought 60+ mph gusts that created large snow drifts across all of the area. U.S. Highway 84/70 was closed West of Muleshoe toward Farwell due to the hazardous driving conditions. Highway 84 was reopened to traffic Monday afternoon.
