Receive Financial Statement and Investment Summary for the quarter ending March 31, 2016,  5. Administrative Reports;  a.  Sylvester Torres retired on March 31st with over 40 years of service with the City of Muleshoe.  A reception was held for him on Tuesday, March 29th.  b. Staff is working on the 2016/17 budget.   Department heads have budget worksheets to work on.  C.  Ramon and LeAnn met with engineers from Parkhill, Smith & Cooper and TxDOT a couple of weeks ago on the airport project.  The design is complete and bidding will take place early in 2017.  6.  Mayor and Council Remarks  7.  Adjourn.

We are sorry to hear that our longtime neighbor and friend Glen Williams died on Tuesday night at 100 years of age.  Glen was born on August 18, 1915, in St. Louis, Oklahoma and moved to Bailey County in February 1929.  He served as the Bailey County Judge for 25 years.  He is survived by his wife Gladys and three children.  Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, April 2nd, 2016, at 11a.m. at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel.  See our June 11, 2013 interview that we did with Judge Williams at the Park View Nursing Care Center.
