Receive Financial Statement for the month ending May 31, 2018. 8. Administrative Reports: a. The Muleshoe Water Park opened for the 2018 season on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. There were 256 admissions on the first day. b. The Youth Fishing Day was held on Saturday, June 2nd at Lake Muleshoe. Ninety-four fishermen were registered for the event. c. Staff attended the TML Region III meeting on June 7th at the Scottish Rite Learning Center in Lubbock. d. The new lift station went online on June 5th. e. The ground storage tank project is underway. f. Movie in the Park will be June 21st. We will be showing “The Bee Movie”. g. Early voting continues through Tuesday, June 12th, for the City Special Runoff Election to fill the vacancy in Council District #2. Election Day will be Saturday, June 16th. h. Kasey Coker, Director of Economic Development has arranged for Carlton Schwab, of the Texas Economic Development Council to meet with Council and the Economic Development Board on the evening of June 28th to share information on Type A and Type B Economic Development Corporations. 9. Mayor and Council remarks. 10. Closed Session in Accordance with Vernon’s Texas Codes Annotated, Government, Section 551.074. Personnel Matters – Police Chief. 11. Adjourn.

See the Muleshoe Independent School District end of the school year faculty meeting held on May 24, 2018, at the Kerry Moore Auditorium in Muleshoe, Texas.  Program includes the awarding of service and retirement plaques and the naming of the teachers and staff member of the year. Secondary Teacher of the Year is Amanda Sealy, Elementary Teacher of the Year is Christy Montiel and Staff Member of the Year is Josie Guerrero. Each received a golden apple and a check courtesy of AimBank and First Bank.  MISD Superintendent is Dr. R.L. Richards and Assistant Superintendent is Dani Heathington.
