See the Bailey County Electric Cooperative’s 83rd Annual “Drive-thru” Meeting held on August 23, 2022, in Muleshoe, Texas. Bailey County Electric had 173 members register and get gifts from BCEC and Golden Spread Electric Coop. and they served 400 meals. Directors who were all reelected to the board were Jerry Nichols representing District 4, Ronnie Barrett representing District 5 and Larry Clawson representing District 7.

Meet the new Muleshoe Independent School District teachers and staff for the 2022-23 school year. New teachers at Dillman elementary include Kala Thomason, Keelee Medford, Adelle Davis, Claudia Mendoza, Natalie Diaz, Sarahi Regalado, Chazlin Lesueur, Brittany Espinoza and Phelicia Ruvalcaba. DeShazo Elementary new teachers are Debbie Vinson, Christine Baca, Dawn Ramaekers and Dez’Rae Sanchez. WJHS new faculty is Hector Lopez, Gentry Doolittle, Bailey Doolittle, Jon Chavez, Zoe Apodaca and Crystal Lozano and the new MHS teachers are Kattie Palmer, Brannon Karger, Brandt Davis, Johnny Baca, Hillary Birkey, Chrissy Bass and Bianca Jasso. Remembering our good friend and Muleshoe pioneer Jim Young, July 25, 1944 – July 4, 2022, with our archival Muleshoe pioneer interview with him and his sister Sue Rodgers from August 16, 2013. Memorial service for Jim Young will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 2p.m., at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Stacy Conner officiating and a Celebration of Life will follow from 4-7p.m. at the Desert Rose.
