Consider request and receipts for reimbursement of Hotel/Motel Tax Funds from Muleshoe Heritage Foundation for the annual Tour de Muleshoe held in June 2016.  7. Receive financial statement for the month ending July 31, 2016.  8. Administrative Reports:  a. The city hosted a blood drive on July 20, 2016.  They had 12 contacts and collected 10 units of blood.  b. The TML Annual Conference will be in Austin October 4-7.  Registration deadline is August 30th.  c.  “Movie in the Park” will be Thursday, August 18, 2016.  We will be showing “Angels in the Outfield”.  d. The Muleshoe Water Park will close for the season on Sunday, August 14, 2016.  9.  Mayor and Council Remarks.  10. Executive Session  – Closed Session in Accordance with Vernon’s Texas Codes Annotated, Government, Section 551.074 Personnel Matters – City Manager Evaluation.  11. Adjourn.

See video highlights of the 2016 4th of July celebration held in Muleshoe, Texas.  Muleshoe Chamber of Commerce Parade Marshall was Donald Phelps and Master of Ceremonies Steve Friskup.  Parade Winners were 1st place First United Methodist Church,  2nd Caprock Dairy, and 3rd MHS Cheerleaders;  Tractor Show 1st South Plains Antique Tractor Association,  2nd Slade Nickels;  Car Show 1st Ernie Montes,  2nd Randy James; Hot Dog Eating Contest 1st T.J. Ballard,  2nd Lee Tosh.  Lil’ Miss Firecracker Under 1 Winner was Kaizlea Stancell, Runner up Kasidee Cannon and 2nd Runner-up Braxley Blayze Branscum.  1-3 Year Old Winner was Isabel Marie Ramirez, Runner-up Emmaline Grace Bohler and 2nd Runner- up Alee Helton.  4-6 Year Old Winner was Paisli Rose Claunch, Runner-up was Paisley Branscum and 2nd Runner-up Abbey Urbantke.  Lil’ Mr. Firecracker Winner Jaxon Parker Shipp, Runner-up Rhett Krew Ratliff and 2nd Runner-up Trayce Layne Tolbert.  Muleshoe Pitching winners were in the singles division Russell Magby and doubles Basil Nash and James Turnbow.  Bailey County Senior Citizens playhouse winner was Charlotte Field.  Shotgun winner from Muleshoe Lions Club was Trey Thompson of Shallowater.   Winner of the grill given away by Muleshoe Meals on Wheels was Richard Orozco.
