Mother and Baby Porcupine at Muleshoe NWR
Latest VideosSee video of a pair of porcupines, a mother and baby, in a hackberry tree at our own Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge filmed on June 19, 2017. Specifically they are North American Porcupines and Christena Stephens, biologist with Friends of the Muleshoe NWR, thought the baby, also known as a porcupette, was born probably in April or May. The Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge is located 16 miles south of Muleshoe, Texas, along Highway 214.
