Brantley Receives Purple Heart & Combat Action Medal
Latest VideosColonel Kristin Goodwin, 2nd Bomb Wing commander, presents Senior Airman TJ Brantley, 2nd Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordinance Disposal technician, the Purple Heart during the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Barksdale AFB, Louisiana, on September 11, 2014. Brantley received wounds from an improvised explosive device that detonated within ten feet during a sustained firefight. In addition, Brantley received the Combat Action Medal for his participation in the firefight. TJ is a 2007 Muleshoe High School graduate and the son of Curby and Kay Brantley and grandson of Curby and Mary Janice Brantley and Norma Prather.
