First freeze for Muleshoe, Texas, for 2013 occurred on the morning of Sunday, October 6th shortly after 4a.m. dropping to 31 degrees at the NWS Station at Channel 6 and 28 degrees at the West Texas Mesonet Station, 2 miles south of Muleshoe. The temperature remained below the freezing mark until 8:30a.m. The average first freeze for Muleshoe is October 22nd.
