The Muleshoe Country Club offers golfing enthusiasts a mature, scenic course as well as a challenging layout. The long, sometimes wide and other times narrow fairways are lined with elm trees, and the greens are of medium size and fast. Open all year Tuesday through Sunday, closed on Mondays. How old is the massive Muleshoe Area Hospital Tree? Watch our video and find out! See the cutting of the huge 15.8′ diameter tree trunk and the counting of the rings on July 29, 2014, and hear Lee Thompson with Thompson’s Tree Experts reveal the age of the tree. See video of the massive tree at the Muleshoe Area Medical Center being cut down on July 28, 2014, by Thompson’s Tree Experts out of Lubbock and our interview with Lee Thompson who tells us he thinks the tree is between 100 and 110 years old. The tree stands at 45 feet tall and has a 15.8′ diameter around the trunk. It is believed by many local residents to be the oldest tree in Bailey County.
