Consider approving the Muleshoe Country Club Board of Directors adopted changes to the club’s by-laws and fee schedule:  a. eliminate the Golf Membership category and convert current Golf Members to Full Members.  Effective December 1, 2016.  b. Create a Seasonal Social Membership category.  Seasonal Social Members will have access to the lounge, restaurant and swimming pool for the months of June, July and August.  Dues for Seasonal Social Members are $300 if paid in advance for $110 per month payable in advance for each month.  c.  Set the annual Trail Fees for private carts at $400 per year effective 2017.  3. Review and consider City of Muleshoe Investment Policy.  4. Consider awarding the bid for a large brush fire truck to be paid with a 90/10 matching grant from the Texas Forest Service.  5. Consider Resolution R-725-1216 Settlement agreement between the Alliance of Xcel Municipalities (AXM)and Southwestern Public Service Company.  6. Consider appointment to the Bailey Central Appraisal District Board of Directors.  7.  Receive Financial Statement for the month ending November 30, 2016.  8.  Administrative Reports:  a. See video of the 2016 cotton harvest that is going on now in the Muleshoe area.  Thanks to Scott Miller, Ryan Harper and Ronnie Barrett for allowing us to film their cotton harvests.  Here are some cotton facts for the area from Plains Cotton, Inc.:  the average number of cotton bales the Texas High Plains produces each year is 3.7 million,  in 2015, the top 11 cotton-producing counties in the nation were within 80 miles of Lubbock, the nation’s No. 1 cotton-producing state is Texas.  The High Plains produces two-thirds of Texas cotton and cottonseed; 20-30 percent of U.S. cotton and cottonseed; and 3-5 percent of world cotton and cottonseed.  In 2014 Bailey County planted 79,800 acres of cotton, harvested 61,800 acres, and produced 71,000 bales of cotton.   A bale of cotton weighs 500 pounds.

See the 17th Annual Muleshoe Meals-on-Wheels Benefit Concert featuring a 60’s and 70’s Tribute Show and Christmas Celebration held at the Trinity Christian Center Church in Muleshoe, Texas, on December 2, 2016.  The concert raised $5,682.81 for the Muleshoe Meals on Wheels program.  The show features Reydon Stanford, Kenneth Richards, Betty Hutton, Heather Garcia, Michelle Young, Alyssa Stanford, Bryan Morris, Nate Stanford, Bryleigh Schovajsa and the Trinity Christian Band.

See the Muleshoe Chamber of Commerce Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held on November 26, 2016, at the Mule Memorial in Muleshoe, Texas.   Christmas Carols  were sung by the Trinity Christian Center Church and chamber board member Basil Nash spoke before the tree lighting.  Also see some the new Christmas street decorations that are hanging along American Boulevard.
