Approving the Ad Valorem Tax Rate of $1.35 per $100 valuation in Muleshoe Independent School District for the current year, a rate that is $0.00 higher per $100 valuation than the school district rollback tax rate for the purpose of increasing the Maintenance and Operation Rate by $0.13 to $1.17 per year and reducing the Interest and Sinking Rate by $0.13 to $0.18 for this year.

Tropical Cyclone Newton brings hours of heavy downpours to the Muleshoe area dropping 2.49″ at Channel 6 and 1.79″ at the Muleshoe Mesonet station on September 6 & 7, 2016.
Drenching rains fall in Muleshoe beginning on Thursday, August 25th. As of Thursday, September 1st, the NWS Station at Channel 6 has received 4.28″ in the past 7 days and the Muleshoe Mesonet site has 4.97″.
