See the Muleshoe Independent School District Spelling Bee held on February 17, 2017, at the MISD Administration Building in Muleshoe, Texas.  The winner of the contest is Dhvni Sharma, a 7th grader at Watson Junior High School, daughter of Pinakin and Alka Sharma and the runner-up is Kilonna Burdell, daughter of Josiah and Renata Burdell.  Dhvni will compete in the regional spelling bee hosted by the Lubbock Avalanche Journal on March 4th at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.  Welcome by MISD Assistant Superintendent Dani Heathington, pronouncer was LeAnn Gallman and judges are Erin Boatmun and Laura Mora.
