See video of a system of thunderstorms that moved through the Muleshoe and Sudan areas on Saturday evening, May 4, 2019, that at times had Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Tornado Warnings attached to them. See some of the golf ball sized hail that fell in the Lazbuddie area on May 3, 2019, with heavy rain and small hail hitting Muleshoe. The NWS Station at Channel 6 received 1.01″ of rain, Muleshoe Mesonet got .77″ and the Earth Mesonet next to Tolk Plant received .43″. Precipitation and storm chances continue through the weekend into next week. The Bailey County Burn Ban has been lifted until the next meeting of the Bailey County Commissioners Court on May 13th. See the Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaps Head Basketball Coach Steve Gomez speech to the Muleshoe Rotary Club from April 30, 2019, at the Bailey County Coliseum in Muleshoe, Texas. Coach Gomez recently coached the Lady Chaps to their second NCAA Division II National Title. Muleshoe Rotary Club President is Tim McCormick, Sweetheart is Keely Dunham and the program was introduced by Gary Hooten.

The MHS shoes have been named one of the 50 finalist from around the country in the competition and is in the running for $75,000 for the art department among other prizes. See the Bailey County Senior Citizen’s Easter Bonnet Parade held on April 19, 2019, which includes lots of video of the Easter artwork and decorations at the Senior Center.    The Master of Ceremonies for the parade is Carolyn Johnson and Janis Morrison and the piano is played by Ann Johnson.
