See some of the Dillman Elementary 1st Grade Egg Drop held on April 2, 2026, in Muleshoe, Texas. First grade students created devices to protect a raw egg that were dropped from a bucket truck provided by Bailey County Electric Cooperative. See scenes of the sleet and snow storm that hits Muleshoe, Texas, on January 24, 2026. Low at the NWS Station at Channel 6 in Muleshoe dropped to 4 degrees Saturday and Sunday mornings with a layer of sleet that fell all morning into the early afternoon hours followed by 4″ of snow later in the day through the overnight. Our 2 day precipitation total is .78″. On Sunday Muleshoe reached a high of 23 degrees with a stunningly cold -8 degree low Monday morning with no new snow or sleet falling. The Muleshoe Mesonet, 2 miles south of town off of Hwy 214, recorded a low of -10 Monday morning.
