Special Council Meeting November 22, 2021. 2. Consider reimbursement of receipts from Kenzi Green for the 2021 Muleshoe Merry Market from Hotel/Motel Tax Funds. 3. Receive Investment Report and Financial Statement for the month ending December 31, 2021. 4. Administrative Reports: a. The Chamber of Commerce held their annual Christmas parade on Saturday, December 11th at 6:30pm. b. The City held its annual Christmas Luncheon on December 8th at the City of Muleshoe Training Facility. City of Muleshoe employees donated a total of $2,850.00 to the Bailey County Food Pantry and delivered approximately 1500 meals through Meals on Wheels. c. Thank you to Bailey County Electric, Five Area Telephone, Xcel Energy and our Public Works Department for their help with the putting up and taking down of the Christmas lights. d. January 19th is the first day to file for a place on the City of Muleshoe ballot for the May 7, 2022, general election. District 1 and District 2 Council Members will be elected at this election. e. A reception for Chief Gary McHone was held at the City of Muleshoe Police Department on Monday, December 20th from 3:00 – 4:00pm. f. A retirement reception for Municipal Judge Juana Shelburne was held in the council chambers on Wednesday, December 22nd from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. g. New officer Sean Atchley was sworn in on December 13th. h. Santana Loya was sworn in as Municipal Judge on December 23rd i. Update on the CDBG Project 5. Mayor and Council remarks. 6. Closed Session.
