Administrative Reports: a. The Muleshoe Water Park will open for the 2017 season on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. b. Progress continues at the City of Muleshoe Training Facility. The project should be completed by mid-May. c. Work continues on the West Elevated Storage Tank. We expect work to be completed by June 1st. d. Work is being performed at the basketball courts in the City Park. The surface is being replaced with concrete. e. Mark your calendars for Youth Fishing Day at Lake Muleshoe for Saturday, June 17th. f. Our campaign continues to remove junk vehicles from the city. Also, if anyone has weeds or grass exceeding 12 inches in heights, they are in violation of city ordinances and code enforcement will be contacting you. 10. Mayor and Council Remarks. 11. See the 1st Annual Smokin’ if for Kreid BBQ Cookoff held on April 22, 2017, in the New City Park in Muleshoe, Texas, that raised $6,500 to assist children who are battling malignant brain tumors and their families. The event was put on by Killin’ it for Kreid, a non-profit organization established by Heather Campbell and Morgan Marricle, the mothers of Kade Campbell and Reid Marricle who both died of a brain cancer type called Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid.
