Muleshoe High School Mighty M Band halftime show from October 12th at Benny Douglas Stadium in Muleshoe performing their 2018 UIL Marching Band Show featuring the music of Fall Out Boy. Band Directors are Daniel Barber, Jessica Maynerich and Christy Barber, Percussion Instructor is Miranda DeBruin and Guard Instructor is Sarah Nicholes. Drum Majors are Kynton Hasselhoff and Alexa Herrera, Guard Captains are Fernando Salamanca and Eduardo Pantoja. The band competed at the UIL Marching Band Competition on October 20th at Lowery Field in Lubbock and received a 2 overall ranking.

The Muleshoe Independent School District dedicated a plaque to the memory of Richard Ring for being one of the greatest Muleshoe Mules fans and presented it to his widow Carol before the Muleshoe Mules vs. Dalhart football game on Friday, August 31, 2018. Richard worked on the chain gang running the down and distance markers for Muleshoe Mules home football games for 17 years. Also in attendance were his sisters Barbara Rhea and her husband Donnie from Dumas, Onie Easter from Sunray and Rita Duncan and a brother Johnny Ring both of Spearman. Carol was presented the plaque by MISD Assistant Superintendent Dani Heathington and Board Members Sergio Leal, Curtis Preston and Carroll Precure.
